• Mind wandering is the enemy of concentration. >:}
• How do negative thoughts affect your concentration?
o You can’t concentrate if you have thoughts (negative) going through your head.
• Proteins keep your mind alert.
o Cheese.
o Meat.
• Carbs make you sleepy, after the initial sugar high.
o Pasta.
o Breads.
• Study session curve.
o 1 minute (beginning)
o 8 minutes is your peak. Take a break (2-3 minutes)
o 16 minutes is the end.
• To assess effectiveness of your study area, consider the:
o Furniture.
o Proximity to windows.
o Color schemes.
• Internal distracters.
o Worries.
o Stress.
o Hunger.
o Sickness.
• Concentration
o The ability to block out distraction and focus on one task.
